    Key Project Objectives

    The New Museum redevelopment seeks to create a new museum building at the existing Perth Museum site that:

    • reflects the status and confidence of Perth and Western Australia;
    • contributes to the quality and vibrancy of the PCC and the redevelopment of Northbridge;
    • shares stories about the environment, history, society and economy of Western Australia; and
    • engages with the public in new and exciting ways.

    The project will encompass a new build on the Francis Street site plus refurbishment of the existing heritage buildings, namely Hackett Hall, Jubilee Wing, Old Gaol and the Beaufort Street Wing.
