• GP staff strut their stuff on the catwalk

Government Procurement staff took to the catwalk to promote the redeveloped
Uniforms – Off the Shelf Apparel CUA.

An entertaining event took place in the Optima Town Hall on 8 November, as 10 of GP’s finest models took to the stage.

The fashion show theme was more light hearted than many of the events GP hold and allowed some of the ‘models’ to seek feedback on a potential career change.

Contract Manager Stephen Metaxas believes the event and show were a great success.

“All the feedback was really positive. Everyone was having a laugh; including the crowd, suppliers and models, which is what the fashion show was all about.”

While the main showcase was the fashion show, Stephen opened with some of the amendments and benefits of this new CUA.

With a new supplier in the Corporate and Casual Wear category, the range of garments has increased, offering the buyer much more choice. The addition of footwear to the Work Wear category further enhances the CUA.

Following the fashion show was an opportunity for the government buyers to meet with the suppliers and have a look at some of the range they can provide under the contract.

“The suppliers met with a number of agency staff who were very impressed with the new range,” Stephen said.

“While the key attraction was the fashion show, the event was created to introduce agency buyers to the suppliers.”

This CUA commenced on October 1 and for all related queries please contact the Contract Manager Stephen Metaxas.
