• Redeveloped Uniforms CUA

October 1 2011 saw the introduction of a significant change to the new Uniforms Common Use Arrangement (CUA) for Off the Shelf Apparel.

The CUA now has two contracted suppliers in the Corporate and Casual Wear category; Pacific Brands and Adelphi Apparel.

Mandatory for Public Authorities in the Perth Metropolitan region, the CUA enables buyers to pick and buy a wide range of Off the Shelf Uniform Apparel.

Pacific Brands is also the supplier for the Work Wear category, while Nell Gray Manufacturing will supply Clinical Wear.

Pacific Brands is the parent company for Yakka so you can still purchase their apparel under this CUA.

Contract Manager Stephen Metaxas believes the new CUA will have numerous benefits for agencies.

“Having two suppliers on the Corporate and Casual Wear category is great for agencies since they will have a wider range of quality garments to choose from.”

“The Work Wear category has an increased range of items available and has added footwear, which many agencies requested.”

A CUA launch is being held on November 8. The launch will include a fashion show highlighting a selection of the range available.

Stephen sees this as a great opportunity for government staff to get a visual on the new garments.

“You will get an entertaining look at the new range, as well as the chance to chat with the suppliers.”

The Clinical Wear category is specifically designed for the Department of Health, although other approved users may purchase from this category.

Free-into-store delivery is available for agencies to any nominated location in the Perth Metropolitan Region. Deliveries take up to 20 working days for the standard range and 30-40 days for made-to-measure garments.
