About Government Procurement

Government Procurement (GP) is responsible for the procurement function at a whole of government level. It provides strategic procurement advice to the entire WA public sector.

A one-stop-shop for all procurement functions and enquiries, GP leads the development and management of whole of government Common Use Arrangements (CUAs), state fleet leasing and disposal; and the planning, development and award of agency specific contracts.

It also manages the reforms around the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, including implementing the policy by providing advice, education, common templates and direct support to both government and the not-for-profit sector.

Support is provided through analysis and advice via online systems like Tenders WA and Contracts WA; templates, reports and procurement training. Project assurance for major public sector projects is offered through the Gateway review process.
