Electricity prices

Here you can find the electricity prices for:

  • homes
  • homes that are also the premises for businesses or charities
  • community and charitable organisations.

All of these groups are small use customers, who use 50 megawatt hours a year or less (or an average of 137 units per day).

The prices below apply from 1 July 2012. The electricity prices include a carbon component resulting from the Australian Government's Clean Energy Act 2011.

Note: One unit of electricity is equal to one kilowatt hour (kWh).

Tariff A1 – residential electricity

  • Supply charge: 41.5455 cents per day
  • Supply charge for additional homes: 32.2582 cents per day
  • Electricity charge: 24.8866 cents per unit

Tariff A2 – residential electricity

  • Supply charge: 41.5455 cents per day
  • Supply charge for additional homes: 32.2582 cents per day
  • Electricity charge: 24.8866 cents per unit

Tariff B1 – residential hot water heating (existing customers only)

  • Supply charge: 21.5235 cents per day
  • Supply charge for additional homes: 21.5235 cents per day
  • Electricity charge: 14.1455 cents per unit

Tariff C1 – community and charitable organisations

  • Supply charge: 37.5016 cents per day
  • Electricity charge:
    • First 20 units per day: 22.6965 cents per unit
    • 20–1650 units per day: 27.8663 cents per units
    • More than 1650 units per day: 25.3652 cents per unit

Tariff C2 – community and charitable organisations

  • Supply charge: 37.5016 cents per day
  • Electricity charge:
    • First 20 units per day: 22.6965 cents per unit
    • 20–1650 units per day: 27.8663 cents per units
    • More than 1650 units per day: 25.3652 cents per unit

Tariff D1 – combined charitable organisations/residential properties

  • Supply charge: 34.9367 cents per day
  • Supply charge for additional dwellings: 27.1268 cents per day
  • Electricity charge: 21.2983 cents per unit

Tariff D2 – combined charitable organisations/residential properties

  • Supply charge: 34.9367 cents per day
  • Supply charge for additional dwellings: 27.1268 cents per day
  • Electricity charge: 21.2983 cents per unit

Tariff K1 – combined residential / business properties

  • Supply charge: 41.5455 cents per day
  • Electricity charge:
    • First 20 units per day: 24.8866 cents per unit
    • 20–1650 units per day: 28.1662 cents per unit
    • More than 1650 units per day: 25.6357 cents per unit

Tariff K2 – combined residential / business properties

  • Supply charge: 41.5455 cents per day
  • Electricity charge:
    • First 20 units per day: 24.8866 cents per unit
    • 20–1650 units per day: 28.1662 cents per unit
