Incentives
Small-scale Technology Certificates
The Australian Government’s Small-scale Technology Certificates are an incentive to installing renewable energy systems. When purchasing solar panels, solar water heaters or heat pumps, a school receives certificates, which can be sold, exchanged for an up-front discount off a system’s purchase price, or surrendered.
Solar credits
Through Solar Credits, schools may be able to increase the number of Small-scale Technology Certificates for their renewable energy system. Eligibility is based on various factors.
