Facts and figures

There are a number of organisations that publish statistics, supply and demand forecasts and other useful information relating to the Western Australian energy industry, including the following:

Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences - Australian and state-based energy statistics, long term projections for energy consumption, production and trade, information on major energy developments and trends in energy intensity
Australian Bureau of Statistics – statistics on energy use and energy efficiency in Australian homes
Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency - information on energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for corporations registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007
Department of Mines and Petroleum - WA petroleum and geothermal statistics and maps and information on petroleum pipeline licences
Department of State Development – information on WA’s economic profile and agreement acts for major coal, gas and oil projects
Economic Regulation Authority – detailed information on WA electricity and gas licence holders and areas and access to performance reports
