Regional Buying
Building Management and Works (BMW) and Government Procurement (GP) have merged staff and resources located in country towns into single offices. Managed by the BMW Regional Programs Division , regional officers offer an integrated approach to planning and procurement of all works, goods and services.
Regional offices provide specialist support to government agencies undertaking regional procurement. Based in the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern regions, officers coordinate and streamline purchasing, and encourage agencies to source goods and services from local suppliers where appropriate.
This improved coordination of regional purchasing presents local suppliers with greater opportunities to compete for government business. It encourages regional development and supports the Buy Local Policy.
Regional Group Buying Arrangements have been established to provide aggregation benefits and savings to regional agencies. The list is available on Contracts WA.
Contacts for each of the Regional Offices can be found here .
