State Fleet Policy and Guidelines

Western Australian Government Fleet Policy and Guidelines

The Western Australian Government Fleet Policy and Guidelines give government agencies guidance on policies and practices relating to their passenger and light commercial motor vehicle fleet. The guidelines recognise agencies’ fleets as a significant asset and provide a framework to optimise that asset.

The policy is designed to find the right balance between prescription and empowerment, to encourage agencies to strategically plan and manage their fleet, and gain the best value from it. This approach is consistent with public sector administration where CEOs are accountable for delivering outcomes.

The Western Australian Government Fleet Policy and Guidelines also provide direction to agencies on vehicle selection policy and requirements.

Agency General Agreement

State Fleet WA provides a fleet financing facility for over 10,000 vehicles across the WA Government.

The Agency General Agreement provides a contractual framework between State Fleet and the client agency to cover all vehicles leased by the agency from State Fleet.
