About State Revenue
State Revenue has as its primary role the administration of revenue laws for the community of Western Australia. Over 200 staff undertake this task which involves both the collection of duties and taxes, as well as the payment of grants and subsidies.
The Commissioner of State Revenue is responsible for the daily operations of the OSR and for the performance of a range of statutory functions under the revenue laws he administers. Although the Office is a business unit of the Department of Finance, the Commissioner and his delegated officers are independent in the performance of their functions under these laws.
The OSR is structured into 4 Divisions:
- Operations Group 1 - Administers Land Tax, Grants & Recovery and Business Support
- Operations Group 2 - Technical Advice & Specialists Services, Self Assessments and Duties
- Compliance
- Legislation, Training and Review
