• Finance is transitioning to WA.gov.au

Finance is transitioning its website content to WA.gov.au to better meet our customer needs and provide easier access to our online services.

WA.gov.au is a whole-of-government customer focussed website – a modern, accessible and mobile responsive platform, with a powerful search function. The structure is designed with the user in mind and, in the future, it will be the one-stop-shop for all public sector information.

Our transition is guided by principles that align with the Department’s Strategic Directions 2018 - 2022, Our Digital Strategy and the State’s ICT Strategy Digital WA 2016 -2020.

Prior to deciding to transition to WA.gov.au Finance:

    • conducted an internal audit and found that 37 per cent of content on the Finance website needed to be retired
    • analysed data from google analytics to identify our website’s key users and what they searched for
    • conducted interviews and found the majority of complaints related to our website’s poor navigation and the overwhelming volume of reading and information
    • developed 20 common user journeys that highlight the way our customers interact with us through our online services, as well as opportunities for improvement.

With this in mind, we are transitioning to a customer-centric website that is organised around services rather than Finance’s business units. This ensures that our information is presented in the most useable manner for our customers and you remain at the heart of our decisions.

Content and services will be transitioned to the new site between August and September 2019. All existing content will be available on the new website so you will still be able to locate all the information you need.

Further information will be available on this page and communications will be delivered directly to customers ahead of the transition.
